Emerson Murray

Develop your skills and get special instruction from pro and NCAA D1 player Emerson Murray. His mission is to share his unique experiences and knowledge to the next generation of players.

Throughout Emerson Murray’s career he has had the opportunity of playing against the likes of NBA stars Cory Joseph, Kevin Pangos, and Anthony Bennett, as well as play alongside Tristan Thompson, Kelly Olynyk, and Brady Heslip. This game was just a stepping stone in the direction he took as he chose the University of California, Berkeley. At Berkeley, he was able to play alongside Allen Crabbe (NBA – Portland Trail-blazers) as well as Jorge Gutierrez (NBA – Brooklyn Nets). While playing in the Pac 12 Cal he played many games against future NBA stars including Klay Thompson, Isaiah Thomas, Terrence Ross, and many other pros.

Taylor Cherris-Wilding – Raincity Basketball Club

Coach Taylor, founder of Raincity Basketball, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table both from his playing days, years of coaching, and also his professional career as a youth worker, and VSB support worker, working with some of the cities most vulnerable students.

Taylor received his Bachelors Degree from Brandon University where he finished his university career in 2007. It was at Brandon where he was a key member of arguably the best team in the country that year. Before that Taylor was a University all star in 2004 with the University of Manitoba after helping the Bisons reach the post season for the first time in 10 years. During that season Taylor posted the best shooting percentage in the Country, a blistering %50.5 from beyond the arc (the only player to shoot %50), he shot %45 FG’s, and %90 FT’s. He was also in the top ten in many other categories while averaging 13 ppg.

The Elite camp will focus on skills that are necessary for on and off the court development of young athletes.
